On April 10, beneath the Sanmenxia Yellow River Rail-Road Bridge, visitors raised their cameras to capture the stunning views, as laughter and joy echoed along the riverside. In recent years, thanks to continuous improvements in the surrounding ecological environment, this area has transformed into a popular tourism spot.
From the early planning and construction stages, the Sanmenxia Yellow River Rail-Road Bridge incorporated eco-friendly concepts. Today, a vast wetland ecosystem has taken shape on the southern bank of the bridge.
What was once barren riverbed is now covered in aquatic plants such as calamus and reeds, gently swaying in the breeze. These wetlands have become an ideal habitat and breeding ground for birds. Since the environment has improved, nearly 20 new bird species have been recorded in the area, including rare birds like egrets and grey cranes, which now appear frequently.
