On April 10, visitors enjoyed the stunning views at the Sanmenxia Yellow River Rail-Road Bridge, their laughter echoing along the riverside. Thanks to ongoing ecological improvements, the area has become a popular tourism spot in recent years.
From the outset, the planning and construction of the bridge incorporated environmentally sustainable principles. Today, a thriving wetland ecosystem flourishes on the southern bank.
What was once a barren riverbed is now covered with aquatic plants like calamus and reeds, swaying in the breeze. These wetlands have become a haven for birds, with nearly 20 new species recorded, including rare ones like egrets and grey cranes, which are now regularly observed.
