On Sept 14, staff members from State Grid Sanmenxia Power Supply Company visited the edible fungi export base in Wangdian village, Sanmenxia city, Henan province, to provide reliable power supply guarantees for the entire process of mushroom cultivation, processing, and export.
Wangdian village is a well-known mushroom specialty area in Sanmenxia city. Leveraging the local forest ecological advantages, it has built an edible fungi export base integrating strain cultivation, spawn production, constant-temperature incubation, sorting and packaging, and cold storage.
The base features standardized production workshops, six 100-ton cold storage facilities, sorting and processing lines, and over 120 production and power equipment units. It processes more than 3,000 tons of dried and fresh mushrooms annually, with products exported to over 10 countries including the Republic of Korea, Japan, and Canada, making it an important edible fungi export distribution hub in western Henan.
State Grid Sanmenxia Power Supply Company proactively addressed the base's power demands, conducting thorough inspections of power distribution rooms, production workshops, and cold storage facilities. The company has identified and rectified four equipment safety hazards on-site, explained precautions for electrical equipment operation and maintenance in high-temperature and high-humidity environments, and guided the base in implementing off-peak power usage, thus securing stable electricity supply for the edible fungi export industry.
"The multiple production and processing lines require uninterrupted operation. Sudden power outages can easily cause spawn necrosis and fresh mushroom spoilage," said the person in charge of the Wangdian village edible fungi base. "The power supply company conducts regular on-site inspections and responds immediately to any power issues. Their professional and meticulous service has strongly ensured the smooth and orderly progress of our production and export operations."
