Zhengzhou Airport Port's import and export cargo throughput surpassed 300,000 tons in the first half of this year, hitting 323,900 tons, an 11.9 percent year-on-year increase and a record high for the same period, according to Zhengzhou Airport Customs on July 10.
Cross-border e-commerce exports gained strong momentum, emerging as the top bright spot for foreign trade growth at Zhengzhou Airport Port. In the first half of this year, Zhengzhou Airport Customs supervised 126,000 tons of cross-border e-commerce export cargo, excluding transit goods, a 48.7 percent year-on-year increase, with daily shipments peaking at over 1,300 tons.
The export goods cover a wide range of categories, including apparel, footwear, headwear, smart home products and portable outdoor household appliances. Sourced from major manufacturing clusters nationwide - Xuchang hair products, Luoyang steel office furniture, Yiwu small wares and toys, and 3C digital accessories from the Pearl River Delta - all shipments converge at Zhengzhou Airport Port for delivery to destinations across the globe.
