Henan's 13-day summer wheat harvest concludes

On June 9, large-scale mechanized wheat harvesting in Central China's Henan province wrapped up, effectively ending the province's annual wheat harvest.

From May 28 to June 9, Henan harvested 84.45 million mu of wheat (about 5.6 million hectares) , covering 99.1 percent of the province's wheat area, with a mechanized-harvest rate of 99.8 percent.

Henan's large-scale mechanized wheat harvest wrapped up in just 13 days. Over the six days from May 31 to June 5, 60.41 million mu of wheat was harvested (70 percent of the province's total wheat acreage), with daily harvests averaging more than 10 million mu. On the peak day, 124,000 combine harvesters reaped 12.61 million mu, underscoring the widely recognized "Henan Speed".
