Henan's foreign trade continued its steady growth momentum. From January to May, the province's total import-export value saw a year-on-year growth of 26.1 percent to 432.85 billion yuan, 10.8 percentage points above the nation's average. In May alone, Henan's foreign trade totaled 87.15 billion yuan, up 29.4 percent year-on-year. In detail, exports increased 17.1 percent to 54.27 billion yuan, while imports surged 56.5 percent to 32.88 billion yuan.
Henan's imports and exports hit record highs for both the January-May period and May alone, with the January-May total already exceeding last year's January-June figure.
