Wheat and whispers of history

Recently captured photos reveal golden waves of wheat rippling through the Song Dynasty mausoleums in Gongyi, a county-level city under Zhengzhou, Central China's Henan province. Now is the "sanxia" season, a bustling period of summer harvest, sowing, and field management, and the wheat gently laps against the pedestals of the stone statues guarding the mausoleums of the Northern Song emperors. These silent sentinels, once witnesses to imperial processions and the rise and fall of dynasties, now stand amidst the billowing grain. The wind carries the sweet scent of wheat, along with tales that span a millennium. Every grain holds a story of the Song mausoleums; every breeze whispers history.
