Phase I of the Medical Science District Bio-Industry Park in the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone (hereafter "Bio-Industry Park") is slated for completion by the end of August, while construction on Phase II will begin in the second half of the year, reporters learned during a visit on May 21.
The Bio-Industry Park sits in the Central China Medical Science District of the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone, bounded by Gongye 1st Road to the north, Huanghai Road to the south, Guihuagongye 7th Street to the west and Meihe Road to the east. The project covers an area of about 90 mu (6 hectares) and has a total investment of 670 million yuan.
Positioned as a versatile all-in-one healthcare industrial park integrating R&D, incubation and production, the project will draw a great number of high-caliber healthcare enterprises and institutions from home and abroad after full completion. It will boost the development of industrial chains covering medical device R&D and manufacturing as well as biopharmaceutical innovation and production, foster the clustering of medical device and biopharmaceutical enterprises within the park, and generate notable agglomeration and spillover effects.
