According to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs, Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone (ZAEZ) achieved a record-high foreign trade performance in the first quarter, with total imports and exports reaching 136.201 billion yuan, up 31.4% year on year. Specifically, imports amounted to 61.098 billion yuan, up 84%, while exports stood at 75.103 billion yuan, jumping 6.6%.
"ZAEZ accounts for 51.76% of the province's total import and export volume, contributing over half of Henan's foreign trade," said Guo Wanwei, deputy director of the Commerce and Port Administration Bureau of ZAEZ. He noted that the zone leverages its advantages in transportation hub connectivity, industrial clustering, and institutional innovation, deeply integrated into the dual circulation development pattern, further strengthening its role as a stabilizing "ballast stone" for foreign trade in Henan Province.
