
Guozhizhong Chengzhiyuan (Sancai environmental mural symbolizing the center of China and the cradle of Chinese cities), measuring 25.8 meters in length and 3.3 meters in height, was created by the renowned artist Guo Aihe and his team as the theme mural for the Henan Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. It sets against the Yellow River, a symbol of the roots and enduring spirit of the Chinese nation. The mural incorporates cultural iconssuch as the Houmuwu Ding, oracle bone script, the Hetu and Luoshu (two mysterious ancient diagrams), highlighting Henan's rich heritage as one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization.
