On February 25, the Information Office of the People's Government of Henan Province held a press conference to outline the province's latest progress in integrating into and serving the development of a unified national market.
Officials highlighted a number of milestones. Annual cargo throughput at Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport surpassed 1 million tonnes. The Zhengzhou-Kuala Lumpur "Air Silk Road" International Cooperation Forum was held in Malaysia. Sixteen new international cargo routes were launched, including an international mail service linking Zhengzhou and Luxembourg. The expansion of the Xinzheng Comprehensive Bonded Zone was completed, and the core area of Zhengzhou International Land Port was put into operation. Meanwhile, 3,735 China Railway Express freight trains were operated over the year, ranking second nationwide. The province's total imports and exports reached 935.67 billion yuan, setting a new record.
