The Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone (ZAEZ) announced significant interim results from the ongoing fourth national cultural relics censuson February 2. Field surveys have now been completed across all 17 townships (subdistricts) and 296 administrative villages within the zone, documenting more than 700 immovable cultural relics and providing a comprehensive overview of the zone's cultural heritage resources.
The newly registered sites encompass a wide variety of types, including ancient sites, tombs, historic buildings, as well as significant modern historical sites and representative structures. Many previously undocumented historical remains have been officially brought under protection for the first time, further enriching the historical and cultural heritage of ZAEZ and providing an authoritative basis for scientific conservation planning and the promotion of adaptive reuse.
