The fourth session of the 14th Henan Provincial People's Congress kicked off on January 26. Governor Wang Kai delivered the Government Work Report.

According to the Government Work Report, in 2025, Henan's GDP grew by 5.6 percent, while the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size rose by 8.4 percent. Industrial investment increased by 13.3 percent, total retail sales of consumer goods went up by 5.6 percent, and the total value of imports and exports climbed by 14.1 percent. Grain output reached approximately 67.55 million tonnes. Overall, Henan ranked among the frontrunners nationwide in terms of key economic growth indicators, reflecting its role as a major contributor to national growth.
