On January 2, reporters visited Phase I of the HKC New Display Base in the southeastern part of the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone (ZAEZ). Upon entering the world's largest single-site intelligent manufacturing base for the TV industry, they were greeted by a bustling and dynamic scene.

Inside the "super workshop", which spans more than 50,000 square meters on a single floor, over a dozen production lines were operating at full capacity and at high speed. More than 100 industrial robots worked tirelessly with precision, while around 1,000 workers carried out their respective tasks and collaborated seamlessly. Lian Jidong, director of the base, said that the facility has now achieved large-scale production capacity and entered a stable production phase. In January, it received orders for 380,000 display terminal units, with daily deliveries exceeding 10,000 units.

At the main gate of the base, large trucks loaded with display terminal equipment queued up in an orderly manner, ready for departure. The products are shipped to markets around the world via the China Railway Express and road-sea multimodal transports ystems. "More than 30 percent of our products are exported overseas, reaching markets worldwide except North America. Both our export volume and market share are steadily increasing," Lian Jidong told reporters.

Phase I of the HKC New Display Base project involves an investment of approximately 3 billion yuan and covers an area of about 300 mu (around 200,000 square meters). The project focuses on building ultra-high-definition new display module and complete-unit production lines.

In terms of production lines, the project adopts an integrated module–complete unit line design and a dual-line testing configuration. This approach reduces construction and cleanroom costs while enabling flexible production across multiple product sizes, thereby maximizing overall capacity. On the automation front, 13 high-efficiency production lines are arranged on the project's first floor, with nearly 60 percent of processes operating intelligently. Both efficiency and precision have been significantly enhanced, positioning the facility as a model for intelligent manufacturing within the industry. In addition, supporting facilities across the surrounding industrial chain—including injection molding, die-cutting and metal stamping—are fully in place, forming a highly vertically integrated industrial ecosystem that strengthens intelligent manufacturing capabilities and sets a new industry benchmark.

In 2025, the HKC New Display Base produced more than 1.6 million display terminals within a few months, generating an output value of approximately 1.69 billion yuan. "This year, we will focus on both expanding production capacity and strengthening research and development, providing strong momentum for regional economic growth," Lian Jidong said. HKC and Henan are working together to promote mutual development and establish a new hub for the emerging display industry within the ZAEZ.
