During the recently concluded 3-day New Year's holiday in 2026, Henan province welcomed 17.437 million domestic tourists, generating a revenue of 8.99 billion yuan, representing year-on-year increases of 3.2% in visitor numbers and 4.1% in tourism revenue. Since the New Year's holiday in 2025 lasted only one day, the figures for that year were adjusted to three times those recorded during that period for comparison with 2026.
The top five scenic spots by visitor numbers wereas follows: Kaifeng Wansui Mountain Kungfu Theme Park (293,000 visits, up 39.5%), Kaifeng Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden (267,000 visits, up 97.6%), Luoyang Luoyi Ancient Town (169,000 visits, up 81.6%), Jiaozuo Yuntan Mountain (107,000 visits, up 67.8%), and Luoyang Longmen Grottoes(107,000 visits, up 137.8%).
In terms of tourism revenue, the top five wereas follows: Kaifeng Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden (29.723 million yuan, up 148.5%), Kaifeng Wansui Mountain Kungfu Theme Park (29.200 million yuan, up 75.4%), Luoyang Laojun Mountain (14.850 million yuan, up 542.9%), Zhengzhou Enjoyland International Resort (13.600 million yuan, up 183.5%), and Unique Henan·Land of Dramas (12.014 million yuan, up 30.7%).
