On December 23, the "Meiyu Grain and Oil" and "Guangxi Fragrant Rice" Nanning Promotion Event, along with the Henan Autumn Grain Production and Marketing Cooperation Fair, was successfully held in Nanning, Guangxi. On-site grain purchase and sale contracts and intention agreements totaling 300,000 tonnes were signed, involving an amount of 1.5 billion yuan. This solid cooperation outcome has driven the complementary and win-win development of high-quality grain resources between the two regions.

Behind this major grain and oil deal lies the strong industrial complementarity between the two regions. As a major grain-producing area in China, Henan boasts ample supply and superior quality of wheat, corn and other grain varieties. Guangxi, on the other hand, excels in specialty grain varieties such as fragrant rice. This event precisely aligned the needs of both sides: it not only helps Henan's high-quality autumn grain expand into the southern market, but also supplements Guangxi's diversified grain sources and enriches local supply, fostering a new pattern of industrial cooperation featuring "northern grains transported southward, southern specialty grains providing complementarity".
As a significant national hub for grain production and processing, Henan has maintained a stable grain output of over 130 billion catties for many years, with the total output value of its grain industry consistently exceeding 300 billion yuan. Through standard leadership and brand building, Henan has achieved the optimization and upgrading of the entire industrial chain from seeds to food products. It supplies an average of 60 billion catties of high-quality raw grain and processed products to the whole country every year, making substantial contributions to safeguarding national food security. With only 1/16 of China's cultivated land, Henan produces 1/10 of the country's grain, and has achieved the leap from "high-quality grain" to "renowned brand" through the "Meiyu Grain and Oil" brand.
Henan and Guangxi are both rich in grain resources with complementary variety structures, boasting broad prospects for cooperation. Relevant officials of the two regions stated that Henan's strong-gluten wheat and high-quality oilseeds form a complementary advantage with Guangxi's specialty fragrant rice and green coarse cereals. They look forward to deepening cooperation in planting, reserves, processing, and circulation, allowing the aroma of "Meiyu Grain and Oil" to spread across Guangxi and the fragrance of "Guangxi Fragrant Rice" to overflow in Henan.
