Henan's foreign trade in first 11 months surpasses last year's total

From January to November, Henan's foreign trade totaled 840.24 billion yuan, an increase of 13.5 percent year-on-year, surpassing last year's total and exceeding the national average growth rate by 9.9 percentage points, according to Zhengzhou Customs on December 11. Specifically, exports amounted to 552.57 billion yuan, up 18 percent year-on-year, while imports reached 287.67 billion yuan, rising by 5.8 percent. In November alone, the province's foreign trade grew 6.7 percent year-on-year, totaling 98.89 billion yuan.

The EU and ASEAN remain Henan's two largest foreign trade partners. In the first 11 months, Henan recorded positive growth in trade with the EU, ASEAN, Latin America and Africa, with values rising 17.5 percent to 112.89 billion yuan, 13 percent to 112.69 billion yuan, 11 percent to 83.28 billion yuan, and 29.5 percent to 35.71 billion yuan, respectively. During the same period, Henan's imports and exports with Belt and Road countries reached 396.02 billion yuan, marking a year-on-year increase of 13.5 percent, while trade with other RCEP member economies totaled 244.81 billion yuan, an increase of 12.2 percent.
