On November 3rd, Zhengzhou Airport's cumulative cargo volume this year reached 825,200 tons, surpassing the full-year cargo volume of last year 58 days ahead of schedule with a year-on-year growth of 24.76%, which demonstrates strong momentum and vigorous vitality.
A series of core indicators for international and regional cargo volume have repeatedly set new records. On October 7th, Zhengzhou Airport's international and regional cargo volume exceeded last year's total more than two months early. On October 22nd, the international and regional cargo volume since the start of this year exceeded 500,000 tons for the first time, with international and regional cargo flights surpassing 10,000 sorties. On October 25th, the single-day cargo flights exceeded 100 sorties for the first time, and the single-day cargo volume hit a new high of over 4,300 tons. The monthly cargo volume in October exceeded 100,000 tons for the first time, a year-on-year increase of 26.6%. As of the end of October this year, Zhengzhou Airport has completed 524,000 tons of international and regional cargo volume, accounting for 64.3% of the total cargo volume, a year-on-year increase of 40.6%. Among them, the Zhengzhou-Kuala Lumpur route handled approximately 15,900 tons of cargo, nearly seven times the last-year total cargo volume of the route. Zhengzhou Airport's international and regional cargo volume has ranked first in Central China and fifth in China for eight consecutive years.
Since the beginning of this year, Zhongyu Aviation Group has focused on cross-border e-commerce and fresh cold chain goods, strengthened coordination and linkage with customs, ports and other departments, efficiently built exclusive green channels for cross-border e-commerce and fresh cold chain goods, ensured seamless connection throughout the whole process, and realized immediate pickup and shipment of goods upon arrival.
With significant improvement in support capacity, cross-border e-commerce cargo volume doubles. Zhengzhou Airport has added six exclusive security check channels and expanded the export operation area by 3,600 square meters. Through measures such as the sensitive cargo data sharing platform, pre-positioned cargo documentation consistency checks, and the establishment of a credit supervision mechanism, it has further improved the transportation efficiency of e-commerce goods and reduced the logistics costs forplatforms. Cross-border e-commerce goods at Zhengzhou Airport can basically achieve "same-day arrival, same-day customs declaration, same-day plate assembling, and same-day transshipment". As of the end of October, Zhengzhou Airport has cumulatively guaranteed 209,000 tons of cross-border e-commerce cargo, a year-on-year increase of 104.1%.
Fresh cold chain goods boast outstanding performance. As of the end of October, the import volume of fresh cold chain goods exceeded 16,500 tons, a year-on-year increase of 190%. They included over 5,400 tons of imported fruits, a year-on-year increase of 154.3%, covering durians, coconut water, mangosteens and other varieties. This airport handled more than 6,800 tons of imported chilled aquatic products, mainly salmon and tuna, accounting for nearly one third of the national import volume, which has made Zhengzhou Airport an important salmon distribution center in Central China. It also handled over 4,200 tons of imported edible aquatic animals, a year-on-year increase of 20.2%, including eels, spiny lobsters, king crabs and other varieties, attracting customers to focus their operations on Zhengzhou Airport.
Air-to-air transshipment efficiency has been continuously improving. To expand the radiation range of its route network, Zhongyu Aviation Group has customized air-to-air transshipment solutions based on customer needs, continued to expand the scale of domestic and international mutual transshipment, and continuously optimized the innovative supportmodel of "Connecting Trunk and Feeder Lines, and Reaching the World Smoothly". Currently, various scenarios of air-to-air transshipment models have been put into regular operation, and the cumulative transportation of air-to-air transshipment goods has increased by 43% year-on-year.
Port clearance efficiency has been further improved. Zhengzhou Airport Customs provides "one-stop" policy consultation services for route registration and cargo clearance, implements the supervision model of "data pre-positioning and inspection upon arrival", shortens the overall customs clearance time to less than six hours, and customizes the operation model of "direct airside transfer between domestic and international flights + cross-warehouse transfer". It gives priority to unloading, tallying, inspection and sampling of fresh goods, and the number of imported fresh product varieties has increased to 32.
Driven by the Zhengzhou-Luxembourg "Air Silk Road", Zhongyu Aviation Group is expanding "dual-hub" cooperation globally, attracting more and more cargo airlines to operate here. Eight out of the world's top ten cargo airlines have settled at Zhengzhou Airport. Since the beginning of this year, nine renowned cargo airlines such as Mexican Awesome Cargo, Maersk AirCargo, Etihad Airways, British One Airand Saudia Airlines have been newly introduced, and 16 new cargo routes have been opened to destinations such as Billund, Abu Dhabi, Madrid, Riyadh, and Copenhagen.
As of the end of October, a total of 36 all-cargo airlines (29 international and regional) have operated in Zhengzhou, with 68 all-cargo routes (49 international/regional) connecting 32 countries, including 19 Belt and Road partner countries. The global cargo route network is becoming increasingly dense. During peak hours, an all-cargo aircraft takes off or lands at Zhengzhou Airport every about 20 minutes on average, with each all-cargo aircraft's average handling time not exceeding three hours. Zhengzhou Airport can simultaneously handle eightall-cargo aircrafts and one medium-sized aircraft, reaching the leading level in the industry.
