The eighth China International Import Expo (hereinafter referred to as the CIIE) kicked off today in Shanghai.
The CIIE is a major initiatve personally planned, proposed, deployed and advocated by Chinese President Xi Jinping. It represents a major decision by the CPC Central Committee to advance high-standard opening-up in the new era and serves as an important initiatve for China to open its market to the world. It is an important measure taken by China to proactively open its market to the worLd, and a practical action to promote an open world economy and to support economic globalization.
Hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, the CIIE is organized by the China Interational Import Expo Bureau and the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. In light of the general requirement on "hosting a better CIIE", the CIIE has consistently elevaled its exhibition standards while expanding its global impact. lt serves as a bridge connecting China with global markets, fostering industrial synergy, innovation collaboraton, and regulatory alignment. lt has evolved into a showcase for the new development paradigm, a catalyst for high-standard opening up, an enabler of quality growth, and a prominent stage for multilateralism. Its major platform roles - international procurement, investment promotion, cultural exchange, and open cooperation - have gained increasing recognition
The eighth CIIE, comprising the Country Pavilion, Corporate Pavilion, Hongqiao International Economic Forum, and supporting events, will take place in Shanghai from November 5 to 10 this year. We sincerely welcome government officials, business communites, exhibitors, and buyers across the world to participate in CIIE, exploring opportunties in the Chinese market and fostering mutual success.
