The 2025 Zhengzhou Cross-border E-commerce Conference & Foreign Trade Premium Products China Tour (Henan) took place at the Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center on May 29.

Combining matchmaking meetings and exhibitions, the event aimed to explore new pathways for the high-quality development of cross-border e-commerce.

In the era of the digital economy, cross-border e-commerce has emerged as a new driver in transforming foreign trade. Data from China's General Administration of Customs revealed that in 2024, China's cross-border e-commerce import and export volume reached 2.63 trillion yuan ($363.4 billion), marking a 10.8 percent increase.

This conference is designed to assist foreign trade enterprises in stabilizing traditional markets, exploring emerging markets, diversifying market layouts, and facilitating domestic market access to address external uncertainties.

In recent years, Henan's development in the cross-border e-commerce industry has been rapid, with the province's cross-border e-commerce import and export volume surging from over 760 billion yuan in 2016 to over 2,600 billion yuan in 2024, representing an average annual growth rate of over 24 percent.

Behind this achievement lies the consolidation and growth of distinctive industries. The province has established seven national e-commerce demonstration bases, evolving into new hubs for industry aggregation and nurturing a cluster of distinctive cross-border e-commerce industries.

As a significant ancillary event of the conference, the concurrent exhibition of foreign trade premium products has become a vibrant example of Henan's integration of domestic and foreign trade. The bustling 15,000-square-meter exhibition area intertwines a diverse landscape of industrial globalization and domestic consumption vitality.
