Carreen Athalia from Indonesia further explained the story of Qu Yuan: "It is said that after Qu Yuan threw himself into the Miluo River, people rowed boats to search for his body and threw rice dumplings into the river to prevent fish and shrimp from harming him. This gradually evolved into the custom of eatingzongzitoday."
"Zongziis made by wrapping glutinous rice inleaves," Usman Kamran explained. "It's sticky, and at first, I thought it was like chewing gum. But once I bit into it, I found it really delicious. I really like it!"
