Henan's e-commerce transaction volume hits 324.16 billion yuan in Q1

Henan's e-commerce sector remained stable in the first quarter of 2025, with total goods and services transactions reaching 324.16 billion yuan, according to data released by Henan Provincial Bureau of Statistics on May 14.

Service-related and consumer-facing transactions continued to grow at a relatively fast pace. In the first quarter, service transactions reached 89.03 billion yuan, up 13.6% year-on-year. Transactions involving individual consumers totaled 148.74 billion yuan, marking a 10.0% increase.

Online retail sales maintained strong growth momentum. In the first quarter, Henan's total online retail sales reached 119.45 billion yuan, up 14.7% year-on-year, 7.7 percentage points higher than the province's overall retail sales. Of the total, online retail sales of physical goods amounted to 93.7 billion yuan, representing an 11.8% increase.

E-commerce platform activity held steady. As of the end of March, tracked platforms generated 77.01 billion yuan in transactions with a total of 80 in Henan. Regionally, Zhengzhou dominated by hosting 30 sites that drove 56.76 billion yuan in Q1 sales, representing 73.7% of the provincial total.

Cross-border e-commerce transactions maintained steady growth. According to data released by the Office of the Henan Provincial Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone, the total import and export transaction value reached 63.21 billion yuan in the first quarter (including express parcel services), with exports accounting for 48.01 billion yuan.
