The Yellow River Conservancy Commission under the Ministry of Water Resources officially recently announced the first group of Yellow River Water Conservancy Heritage Sites. Thanks to its long history, outstanding engineering significance, and profound cultural heritage, the Dongbatou Reinforced Embankment in Lankao county of Central China's Henan province was successfully included in this landmark list. The selection aims to enhance the systematic protection of the Yellow River's water conservancy heritage, deeply explore its multifaceted value in history, science and technology, ecology, culture, and society, and carry forward the enduring bond between the Chinese nation and the Yellow River.
