The first 110 kV vehicle-mounted mobile substation in Henan province's Anyang city was successfully put into operation recently near its Copper Smelting Zone, ensuring a stable power supply for the growing number of battery-electric heavy-duty truck charging stations in the area.

As part of its green transition efforts, Anyang has been actively promoting new energy vehicles in logistics and industrial sectors. In 2024 alone, the city added 1,611 battery-electric heavy trucks.

Measures such as increasing clean transportation in key industries and expanding diesel truck restriction zones contributed to a 6.5 percent reduction in nitrogen oxide emissions in 2023, with a further 19.5 percent decrease projected for 2024. These efforts rank Anyang second in Henan and fourth nationwide for those emission reductions.

To meet surging electricity demand, State Grid Anyang Power Supply Company introduced the 50,000 kVA mobile substation — a flexible and efficient solution that shortens deployment time compared to traditional substations.

The company worked closely with manufacturer Pinggao Group to accelerate production, cutting the usual two-to-three-month timeline to ensure timely operation.
