In September, Henan's value-added industrial output grew by 8.9% year-on-year, marking a 2.1 percentage point increase compared to August, according to the Statistics Bureau of Henan Province on October 21.
In September, the added value of the mining sector and the manufacturing sector increased by 10.0% and 9.0% year-on-year, respectively. Additionally, industrial firms providing electricity, heat, gas, and water saw a year-on-year growth of 7.0%.
Among the 40 major industrial categories, 32 recorded year-on-year growth. Notably, the automobile manufacturing sector experienced a significant increase of 30.5%, followed by 18.2% growth in electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing. Additionally, the computer, communication and other electronic equipment manufacturing sectors saw an increase of 11.6%, while instrument manufacturing rose by 19.7%.
In September, among the 461 key products in Henan, 234 reported a year-on-year increase in output. Notably, soda ash production reached 780,600 tons, marking a substantial 39.4% increase. Additionally, the production of agricultural nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers totaled 474,400 tons, up by 15.5%. Lithium-ion battery manufacturing saw a remarkable rise, reaching 301 million units, which is a 47.0% increase. Furthermore, computer output reached 347,500 units, growing by an impressive 55.2%.
