According to the State Grid Henan Electric Power Company, as residents increasingly adopt intelligent and green travel methods, the utilization efficiency of highway charging stations in Henan province surged during the National Day holiday. The total charging volume reached 4.22 million kilowatt-hours, marking a 48.67 percent increase over the same period last year and setting a new record.

In recent years, to strengthen the highway charging infrastructure, Henan has constructed 245 charging stations and 1,440 charging piles across 125 pairs of highway service areas, achieving full coverage of charging facilities in highway service areas throughout the province. Prior to the National Day holiday, State Grid Henan Electric Power expanded the infrastructure by adding 106 charging piles and 212 charging guns in 30 pairs of highway service areas, effectively alleviating charging pressure for travelers. They also issued travel charging guides to the public through multiple channels, provided warnings for stations that are prone to long lines and encouraged customers to plan their routes wisely.

Additionally, during the National Day holiday, State Grid Henan Electric Power arranged for operation and maintenance personnel to be stationed at hotspots during peak periods and at popular stations, conducting 24-hour platform monitoring and fault repairs. This initiative involved 3,916 charging piles, the handling of 1,069 repair work orders and providing 35 on-site emergency charging services.
