On Oct 11, employees of Linzhao Power Supply Station at State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company converged at Changzhuang village, Huangzhuang town in a considerate and thoughtful move to stabilize electricity services to the fields, helping to ensure a good autumn grain harvest with practical actions.

Jiaozuo, Henan, is known as "China's Capital of High-Quality Wheat" and has the reputation of "Look at Henan for Chinese wheat, and look at Jiaozuo for Henan wheat". The city boasts a nationally renowned high-yield grain area and is the country's first 500 kilogram wheat city and the first metric ton grain market in the north of the Yellow River. This year, the summer grain yield per unit area is expected to firmly rank first among all cities and counties in Henan province. It is a veritable "Central Plains Granary".

In order to ensure stable power supply during the autumn harvest and planting period, State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company had organized personnel to go into the fields, increase inspections of agricultural-related line equipment and conduct key visits to large grain growers, grain purchasing and processing points in the jurisdiction to promptly understand the electricity needs and difficulties of farmers during the autumn grain storage process. For all kinds of electricity problems encountered during the agricultural production process, whether it is emergency repairs or new electricity needs, the company will go all out to solve them to ensure that farmers have no worries about electricity during the autumn harvest and planting period.

At the same time, the company's power supply staff have also patiently explained to farmers the importance of protecting power facilities and how to avoid power damages during agricultural production and daily life, by hanging promotional banners and distributing publicity materials. In addition, the online State Grid app was actively promoted so that farmers can handle fault repairs, apply for electricity and other services without leaving their homes.

In the next step, the company will continue to increase the protection of power facilities in basic farmland areas, ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid within the jurisdiction and provide strong power guarantee for the return of autumn grains to the "Central Plains Granary" and the next step of electricity for agricultural irrigation.
