Henan holds conference with around 200 multinational firms

The 2024 Cooperation and Exchange Conference between Henan Province and Multinational Corporations was held in Zhengzhou, Central China's Henan province, on Wednesday.

Nearly 200 multinational corporations, including Oracle, Siemens, Walmart, Wilmar International, attended the conference.

According to Song Yuzhe, deputy director of the Department of Commerce of Henan province, the conference reached agreements on 46 investment and trade cooperation projects, as well as 9 framework agreements.

The projects span various sectors such as new materials, new energy, equipment manufacturing, electronic information, modern food, and cultural tourism. "The successful conclusion of these projects will inject new momentum and vitality into Henan's high-quality development," Song said.

"We aim to expand beyond importing fruits such as durian from Southeast Asia. We aspire to introduce a diverse range of fast-moving consumer goods from Thailand to Luoyang through cross-border e-commerce," said Song Jiasha, deputy general Manager of Luoyang Guohong Trading Development Group Co Ltd. The company has a cooperation with a Thailand company named LL Group (Thailand) Co Ltd.

At the same time, "we hope to bring more agricultural and sideline products from Henan back to Thailand to provide more choices and experiences for local consumers," said Wang Zhenyu, general manager of LL Group (Thailand) Co Ltd.
