On September 1, it is learned from China Railway Zhengzhou Group that the 62-day summer travel season for railway transportation in 2024 has successfully concluded.

During the summer travel rush this year, Henan's diverse cultural and tourism market attracted a significant influx of visitors nationwide. To accommodate passengers traveling to explore ancient capitals and scenic areas, China Railway Zhengzhou Group has innovated its services by introducing "Zhengzhou + Luoyang + Kaifeng" multi-city travel passes, as well as various tickets for sections of high-speed lines, including 30-day passes, 20-trip tickets valid for 90 days, and 10-trip tickets valid for 90 days, all designed to meet diverse travel needs. In addition, the Group has organized seven special tourist trains to destinations such as Harbin in Northeast China and Kashgar in Xinjiang. To improve transportation in the four key areas (Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, and Chengdu-Chongqing), the Group increased the frequency of peak-hour bullet and intercity trains, with an average of 1,197 trains running daily, marking a 5.7 percent increase from the same period in 2023.

To enhance travel experiences, China Railway Zhengzhou Group has bolstered its service offerings by integrating big data and cloud computing technologies to analyze passenger flow in real time for smoother travel. The Group also enriched its station service brands, such as the "Dan Dan" service at Zhengzhou East Railway Station and the "Tian Xiang" service at Luoyang Railway Station, offering dedicated one-on-one assistance to priority passengers. Additionally, service quality has been continuously improved with the Railway Smooth Travel Code and online meal ordering, focusing on diversifying and enhancing dining options for passengers.

To address the sustained high temperatures and increased electricity demand in various regions, China Railway Zhengzhou Group has stepped up the operation of bulk freight trains to ensure the efficient delivery of coal for power generation and has dispatched a total of 20.702 million tons of coal, representing a 4.4 percent year-on-year increase. Additionally, the Group has been enhancing its high-quality train service brand by providing "customized" services for clients in China Railway Express (Zhengzhou) cargo operations, including priority handling, loading, and dispatching to reduce the time for the initial and final delivery stages. As a result, 75,000 tons of cargo were shipped via China Railway Express (Zhengzhou), marking a 3.3 percent year-on-year increase.
