Henan's value-added industrial output up 6.4% in July

In July, Henan's value-added industrial output grew by 6.4 percent year-on-year, said the Statistics Bureau of Henan Province on August 28. On a stable basis, Henan's industrial economy continues to stride toward high-quality development, showing vitality and resilience.

In July, the added value of the mining and manufacturing sectors increased by 6.0 percent and 7.2 percent year-on-year, respectively. Besides, industrial firms that offer supplies of electricity, heat, gas and water grew by 1.0 percent year-on-year.

The added value of state-owned enterprises increased by 6.2 percent year-on-year in July, while that of joint-stock companies and private companies by 7.6 percent and 7.0 percent respectively.

Among 40 major industrial categories, 30 maintained a year-on-year growth, including an year-on-year increase of 5.8 percent in the automobile manufacturing, and that of 17.7 percent in the computer, communication and other electronic equipment manufacturing, and 18.4 percent up in the instrument manufacturing.

According to the overall analysis of the local authority, in the first seven months, Henan saw the optimization of the industrial structure among industrial enterprises, accelerated development of emerging industries, and positive growth in industrial-related fields. With a series of policies encouraging private sector development and deeper market potential exploration, the high-quality growth of Henan's industrial enterprises will gain more momentum.
