Recently, Fancy Space Intelligent Manufacturing Base in Hebi city of Central China's Henan province was granted commercial satellite manufacturing qualification by the National Development and Reform Commission, marking the imminent establishment of the province's first commercial satellite production facility with manufacturing qualification, according to Henan Fancy Space Technology Co Ltd on August 29.
With a construction area of 13,000 square meters, Fancy Space Intelligent Manufacturing Base is located in Hebi Satellite Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park. Configured with a complete assembly line, it also includes a comprehensive testing system, especially for force, thermal, magnetic and relevant experiments, capable of designing, simulating, integrating, testing and assembling satellites and key spare parts. Upon completion, the production capacity will reach 30 satellites per year. In the coming years, the base's key task will be to cooperate with PIESAT Information Technology Co Ltd to jointly design and manufacture the world's leading radar constellation with multiple satellites and base lines that use interferometric techniques, known as the "Nyuwa Constellation", and to provide ongoing maintenance and replacement services for it.
Established in 2022, Henan Fancy Space Technology Co Ltd has two major centers: one for satellite testing, and the other for satellite experiments. It also has three platforms for satellite design, simulation and processes, with the capability of developing satellites weighing up to 500 kg.
"The approval means that our company is now qualified for satellite manufacturing and can engage in commercial production, thus providing a guarantee for the company's subsequent manufacture of 110 'Nyuwa Constellation' satellites and undertaking R&D for other commercial ones, as well as laying the foundation for the entire commercial space chain in Hebi, " said Li Wei, chairman of the company.
