Henan has allocated more than 360 million yuan to support enterprises in enhancing their innovation and R&D capabilitiesandaccelerating the implementation of sci-tech researchprojects, thus realizing innovation-driven development, said the local authority on July 19.
Supporting R&D projects. A special fund of 320 million yuan hasbeen set up forthe projects ofthe National Natural Science Foundation's Regional Innovation and Development Joint Fund, the sci-techbreakthroughs, the introduction of foreign intellectual expertiseand theProvincial Natural Science Foundation. Besides,other basic and cutting-edge research projects in fields such as agriculture, industry and social development in both natural and social scienceswill also be funded.
Supporting enterprises ininnovation and entrepreneurship. A special fund of 24.1 million yuan hasbeen set up to promote enterprise innovation. Reward will be given to the199 award-winning enterprises fromthe Growth Group and Startup Groupof the 12th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (Henan Division) and the 15th Henan Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. This initiative aims to stimulate innovation enthusiasm among enterprises and contribute to creating a favorable atmosphere for innovation and entrepreneurship throughout the province.
Supportingthe development of sci-techpersonnel. A special fund of 16.62 million yuan hasbeen set up to support the province's selection ofsci-tech talents in the "Three Areas" (remote poverty-stricken areas, border areas with large ethnic minority populations, and old revolutionary base areas) and the developmentof rural sci-techentrepreneurial talents. The focus is on enhancing the level of sci-techservices in the "Three Areas", providing intellectual support and services to promote economic and social development inthese areas.
