Over 700 China Railway Express freight trains (Zhengzhou) launched so far this year

Loaded with cargo including machinery components, auto spare parts, tablewares and textiles, a China Railway Express freight train (No. X8202) departed from Zhengzhou Putian Station on May 26 heading towards Moscow. It is expected to arrive at its destination within 15 days. In this year, China Railway Zhengzhou Bureau Group has launched 700 such freight trains.

Since its inauguration on July 18, 2013, China Railway Express freight train (Zhengzhou) has been dedicated to promoting the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative and striving to build a logistics corridor connecting Central China to the Eurasian continent. As of now, the number of China Railway Express freight train (Zhengzhou) trips has exceeded 8,400, extending its service network to encompass 140 cities across 40 European countries.

According to China Railway Zhengzhou Bureau Group, during the January-April period, China Railway Express freight trains (Zhengzhou) have completed 529 trips, transporting a total of 47,000 TEUs of cargo, with an increase of 135 percent in the number of trips and 113 percent in the volume of cargo compared to the same period last year.
