According to Wang Jun, Henan has established 7 national e-commerce demonstration bases, 36 provincial-level cross-border e-commerce demonstration zones, and 25 provincial-level cross-border e-commerce talent training and enterprise incubation platforms. Besides, Henan has also built (or operated) 216 overseas warehouses in 47 countries worldwide. A number of charter flights from Zhengzhou to Europe, America, and Southeast Asia have been launched, while the construction of Zhengzhou's key international mail hub port is accelerating, with its functions continuously improving. Henan's cross-border e-commerce import and export value has surged from less than 40 billion yuan in 2015 to 237.1 billion yuan in 2023, marking an average annual growth rate of 25.5 percent. This substantial expansion places Henan at the forefront nationwide in terms of cross-border e-commerce scale and application level.

Henan has fostered a variety of cross-border e-commerce industry clusters in various sectors such as hair products, modern home furnishings, steel furniture, outdoor supplies, as well as textiles and clothing. Henan also boasts a variety of "small but exquisite" specialty products including makeup brushes, artificial flowers, violins, fashionable eyewear, optical instruments, and precision measuring tools.
