Today's idiom: 愚公移山(yú gōng yí shān)
The idiom is from Liezi. It refers to an ancient Chinese fable of an older adult who is seen as a fool for attempting to move the mountains that block the path in front of his house (in Jiyuan, Henan Province). He determinedly digs a small amount daily with his offspring and finally touches the Emperor of Heaven to move the mountains. Chinese people use it to describe that perseverance does win out.
