The first cross-border road freight route from Zhengzhou to Southeast Asia
The Zhengzhou-Vientiane international road freight route is the third one of its kind opened in Zhengzhou following the two previous ones linking Zhengzhou with Moscow and Tashkent respectively. Besides, it is also the first international road freight route from Zhengzhou to Southeast Asia, a new channel for cross-border e-commerce logistics.

At 10:30 am on January 9, 6 trucks loading office supplies left Zhengzhou Xinzheng Comprehensive Bonded Zone for Vientiane, marking the successful launch of Zhengzhou-Vientiane international road freight route. They will travel 3,350 kilometers (2,600 kilometers in China) or about 6 days on Zhengzhou-Vientiane international road freight route and finally reach its destination.
The export cargo of the outbound trucks includes e-commerce products, steel, stainless steel, machinery and equipment, building materials, daily necessities, clothes, shoes, cabbage and potatoes, while the inbound trucks mainly carry beer, coffee, watermelon, sugar cane, bananas, grapefruit, cassava and so on.
Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone embracing the world with a positive attitude
With the deepening of regional economic cooperation mechanism, relying on the Zhengzhou-Vientiane international road freight route, the Zhengzhou-Laos-Thailand and the Zhengzhou-Laos-Cambodia routes are expected to be launched in the coming future.
The launch of the Zhengzhou-Vientiane international road freight route is an important step for Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone to actively integrate into the joint construction of the "Belt and Road", which is bound to boost Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone to integrate the world with a positive attitude, said a staff from the Investment Promotion Bureau of Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone.

With support from Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone and Xinzheng Customs, Zhengzhou Hongyi Transportation Co Ltd (the carrier) has realized the commercial operation of the Zhengzhou-Russia TIR international road freight routes, and has successively launched the TIR freight routes from China to Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan included.
