A total of 14,627 technology contracts have been registered in Henan province as of the end of September, with a transaction volume hitting arecord high of 90.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16 percent, according to the data from the Department of Science and Technology of Henan Province on October 7.
High-tech transactions continue to grow. During the January-September period, the volume of high-tech transactions saw a year-on-year increase of 6.8 percent to 53.22 billion yuan, accounting for 58.7 percent of the total, maintaining rapid growth. Among them, those related to advanced manufacturing achieved a transaction volume of 17.34 billion yuan, accounting for 32.6 percent, topping other contracts. Besides, contracts related to new energy and energy efficiency, new materials and applications, as well as biomedicine and medical devices saw a rapid increase in the volume of transactions, with a growth rate reaching 42.1percent, 30 percent and 19.5 percent respectively.
