Cao Cao's Mausoleum Site Museum to Open on April 29

Emperor Cao Cao's Mausoleum Site Museum is scheduled to open to the public on April 29 with the debut of over 500 cultural artifacts, said local authority on April 19.

Emperor Cao Cao's Mausoleum Site Museum is located in Xigaoxue village of Anfeng town, Anyang city, Central China's Henan province, and was constructed based on Cao Cao's Mausoleum Site with the functions of cultural relics protection, research, exhibition, publicity, etc. The museum's various halls seek to present the site and cultural artifacts to the public in depth.

From 2010 to 2017, the Henan Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology conducted an extensive archaeological investigation, exploration and partial excavation around CaoCao's Mausoleum. The sphere of the mausoleum, subordinate tombs and buildings believed to have been constructed for those guarding the mausoleum were discovered, revealing the cultural significance and evolution of the mausoleum.
