Since the first launch of the TIR cross-border road freight route from Zhengzhou to Moscow on February 20, it was the first time a truck with a Henan license plate finished a round trip. Besides, it was also the first time for a Chinese truck to import cargo under the TIR agreement, marking the first-time realization of a two-way TIR cross-border road freight in China.

According to Wang Xiaofeng, deputy chief of the Logistics Monitoring Section of Xinzheng Customs, "Vehicles under the TIR agreement could provide one-stop transportation service and do not require any cargo unloading or reloading throughout the journey. Enjoying exemption from unpacking inspection as well as tax and custom deposit, cargo with correct TIR certifications and intact customs seals could go through customs directly." Besides, cargo freight under the TIR agreement, which could save 58 percent of the transportation time and lower 38 percent of the costs, is flexible in transportation and convenient in cargo loading and unloading, realizing one-stop and door-to-door cargo freight service.
