Data from the Ministry of Commerce of China shows that a total of 329 foreign-funded enterprises were newly established in Henan in 2022, according to the Department of Commerce of Henan Province on January 29. Meanwhile, the actual use of foreign investment totaled 1.779 billion U.S. dollars, up 118.24 percent year on year.
Despite the grave and complex international situation in 2022, Henan still did a good job in promoting foreign-invested projects. Statistically, Henan attracted investment from 36 countries and regions around the world last year. 14 countries of the Belt and Road Initiative, including Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Russia and the United Arab Emirates, set up 31 enterprises in Henan with paid-in funds totaling 980 million U.S. dollars, while the RCEP member countries set up 37 and contributed 86.68 million U.S. dollars to the province's total actual use of foreign investment.
