China's State Internet Information Office released the Digital China Development Report (2021) recently, in which the development of digital infrastructure, digital technology innovation, digital economy, digital government and digital society in its 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) is evaluated, showing that Henan, together with Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Tianjin, Guangdong and Chongqing, ranked at the forefront of China in terms of digital infrastructure, said a source from Henan Communications Administration on September 19.It is worth noting that the ratio of broadband (over 100Mbps) users in Henan has exceeded 99 percent, ranking 1st in China.
Since Januaryofthis year, Henan has newly built over 27.6 thousand 5G base stations, bringing the total number of 124.7 thousand, and realizedfull 5G coverage in all urban areas above the township level and major rural areas.The total bandwidth of Zhengzhou's national-level internet backbone direct connection point has reached 1,820 giga bytes (GB) with 200 GB fortified. Besides, Henan has made notable progress in the large-scale application of 5G.
