In the first quarter, the revenue of the above-mentioned enterprises expanded 14.4 percent year-on-year to 913.47 billion yuan. More than 70 percent of industrial enterprises saw an increase in terms of total revenue, of which nonferrous metals, electronics, machinery, coal and power industries ranked the top five, who have contributed 463.99 billion yuan (63.8 percent) to the whole industrial sector.
In the first quarter, the profit of Henan's enterprises jumped 2 percent from a year earlier to 36.27 billion yuan. The profit of industrial enterprises expanded 16.5 percent to 28.08 billion yuan, with 8 fields seeing an increase in their profits. Specifically, the profit of enterprises related to coal, petroleum and petrochemicals, chemical engineering, nonferrous metals, building materials, electronics, medicine, and tobacco respectively increased by 2.29 billion yuan or 140 percent, 0.32 billion yuan or 120 percent, 2.57 billion yuan or 89.7 percent, 1.91 billion yuan or 53.9 percent, 0.14 billion yuan or 9.3 percent, 90 million yuan or 7.5 percent, 30 million yuan or 4.4 percent and 0.1 billion yuan or 3.2 percent. With a total profit of 22.23 billion yuan, the top five fields （nonferrous metals, chemical engineering, mechanic engineering, coal, and tobacco）contributed 79.2 percent to the whole industrial sector.
