According to the unified calculation of regional gross domestic product (GDP), Henan's GDP expanded 4.7 percent year-on-year to 1422.879 billion yuan in the first quarter of 2022, data from the provincial statistics bureau showed on April 22. From the perspective of industry, the added value of the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors totaled 61.496 billion yuan, 611.907 billion yuan and 749.476 billion yuan respectively, each increasing 6.7 percent, 5.8 percent and 3.6 percent.
Overall, Henan's economy maintained a steady growth momentum in the first quarter, with the growth rate of the main indicators of industry, investment and consumption surpassing the national average, making a contribution to the stability of the country's macroeconomic market.
