Zhengzhou, capital of Central China's Henan province, has been approved to build a hub port for international mail services, said a source from the Development and Reform Commission of Henan Province on March 16, meaning that the inbound mails to Henan and its surrounding areas can be cleared and distributed in Zhengzhou in the future. The customs clearance of inbound mails to Henan in Zhengzhou can save a lot of time and costs compared with that in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, which is bound to improve the influence of Zhengzhou and the opening-up of Henan.

In recent years, Henan has accelerated its opening-up by developing Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone, China (Henan) Pilot Free Trade Zone and China (Zhengzhou) Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive pilot Zone, and blazed a new path of high-level opening-up and development suitable for in inland areas.
