The first phase of the central route of China's South-to-North Water Diversion Project transferred more than 9 billion cubic meters of water to Henan, Hebei, Beijing and Tianjin during the 2020-2021 period, hitting a record high by exceeding the original plan (7.423 billion cubic meters) of the Ministry of Water Resources by 21 percent, said a source from China South-to-North Water Diversion Corporation Limited. It has exceeded the annual target for two consecutive years.
