"You used to say that life is always good, which I totally agree," concludes the film The Best of Youth, which won the 48th David di Donatello Award for Best Picture. There is indeed a city in Italy where "life is always good". It is Naples.

As the regional capital of Campania and the province of Naples, the city of Naples is the third largest municipality in Italy after Rome and Milan, and the 15th largest in Europe. Naples is located at the top of the Bay of Naples on the southwest coast of the Apennine Peninsula in Italy, on the east side of the Tyrrhenian Sea and backed by Vesuvius Volcano. It is one of the main harbors in Italy, the south gate of Italy and an important transportation hub that leads to Pompeii, Amalfi, Sorrento and Sicily.

Naples is also the industrial and commercial base of southern Italy and has developed into one of Italy's main oil refining centers and one of the centers of the steel industry. The city's industries are mainly oil refining, steel, shipbuilding, machinery, chemistry, automobile assembly, textiles and food.

With a lot of cultural relics, Naples is one of the most famous scenic spots in the Mediterranean, known as the "city of sunshine and joy." From squares, churches, castles and harbours to sculptures, posters, graffiti and pizzerias, the streets are full of unique cultural atmosphere and beauty of art.

The city signed a Letter of Intent to establish a sister city relationship with Zhengzhou, China as early as April 27, 2007. At that time, vice mayor of Naples led a delegation to visit Zhengzhou and participated in the Expo Central China 2007. During his visit to Zhengzhou, the vice mayor spoke highly of Zhengzhou's achievements in economic and social development and urban construction and held talks on the exchanges and cooperation between the two cities in economy, trade, culture, education and tourism. Since then, exchanges between the two sides have been particularly frequent in culture, education and art.

During October 16~27, 2008, eight students from Zhengzhou No. 47 Middle & High School attended the "2008 World Peace Camp" in Naples.

On March 22, 2012, Fernado De Filippi, a famous Italian artist, educator, and art consultant of the Italian Ministry of Culture and his wife Nicole Gravier (who taught at Academy of Fine Arts of Naples), held "2012 Italian Contemporary Art Exhibition" in Henan Art Museum. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Naples, Italy, known for the "most standard European royal performance", has come to Zhengzhou for the New Year’s concert for several years.

Naples has many similarities and complementarities with Zhengzhou in economy and trade, science and technology, culture, tourism and other aspects. The friendly exchange between the two cities plays a positive role in promoting the economic and social development of both sides and attracting foreign investment.
