Thelen Carlo, chairman of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, expressed his long-lasting friendship with China and desire to do business together via an online video at the opening of the Zhengzhou-Luxembourg Air Silk Road Forum for International Cooperation on Wednesday in Zhengzhou, Henan province.

"The Air Silk Road is the initiative of our two governments to build a dual hub that helps Zhengzhou achieve its goal of becoming an international aviation logistics center, as well as to reinforce its link with Luxembourg, at the other end of the Air Silk Road, in the heart of Europe," he said. "The Zhengzhou and Luxembourg airports are working together to increase the number of flights between the two cities in a bid to build an international air cargo network, with Zhengzhou as the Asia-Pacific logistics center and Luxembourg as the logistics center for Europe and America."

China declared its support for building a bidirectional Air Silk Road between Zhengzhou and Luxembourg in 2017. The service range now covers more than 200 cities in 24 European countries and 90 cities across China, according to information released by the National Development and Reform Commission.

"Thanks to the digital transformation, cross-border e-commerce between China and Luxembourg has seen tremendous development in the past three years," Carlo said.
