In 2021, the number of patents granted in Henan expanded 28.7 percent year-on-year to 158,038, hitting a record high, said local authority on April 24.
Among them, the number of invention patents granted in Henan rose 47.4 percent from a year earlier to 13,536, while the ownership of valid invention patents 28.02 percent to 55,749. Besides, the number of trademarks registered in Henan reached 389,000, bringing the total number of valid trademarks to 1.4897 million.
